1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Pager ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you're using Pager on behalf of an organization, you're agreeing to these Terms for that organization.

2. The Service

Pager is a team communication platform with AI capabilities. The Service includes:

• Team chat functionality (channels, direct messages, threads)
• AI assistant trained on your workspace data
• Self-hosted deployment options
• Cloud-hosted options (optional)
• API access for integrations

3. Use of the Service

You agree to:

• Provide accurate account information
• Maintain the security of your account
• Not use the Service for illegal purposes
• Not attempt to harm or overload our infrastructure
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Your Data

You own your data. This includes all messages, files, and other content you create or upload to Pager.

For self-hosted deployments:

• Your data remains on your infrastructure
• We have no access to your data
• You control all backups and retention

For cloud-hosted deployments:

• We process and store data to provide the Service
• We implement security measures to protect your data
• You can export your data at any time
• We delete your data upon account termination

5. Payment Terms

For paid plans:

• Billing is monthly or annual, as selected
• Prices are per user, per month
• You provide your own API keys for AI services
• Refunds are available within 30 days of purchase
• Prices may change with 30 days notice

6. Intellectual Property

The Pager software is open source under the license specified in our GitHub repository. You're free to use, modify, and distribute it according to that license.

Pager's trademarks, logos, and brand features remain our property and require permission for use.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months.

8. Termination

You can terminate your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access to the Service for violations of these Terms with notice when possible.

Upon termination, you retain the right to export your data for a reasonable period.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or in-product notification. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the new Terms.

10. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, USA. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains valid.
